Okay so my dad and I built a little door/cabinet thing so now I can start on my project. Right now I’m gluing two pieces of oak wood together. Hopefully I’m compressing it enough so that I won’t have to fill in any gaps because I would really like for the wood to show and not be required to paint it. I have this nice cherry wood stain that I’d like to use and I’d love to varnish it so that it feels good when it’s held. I’ll probably put some type of gloss on it regardless. I hate holding on to dry painted products because it dries out my hand and just feels so weird to me. Ugh
Anyway, I went to McMaster-Carr today to pick up these really tiny little plungers for my key and lock. They’re so little though! I might have to return them for a bigger size but first I’m going to talk to Tripp in the shop and see what I can do.
I should get going then.
